Besides, there seems to be as much misconception going on about maths as there is about music. One needs to have a deep understanding of both in order to just start investigating whether or not they have anything in common. They may have, as we like to believe, but we don't know anything about it beyond the numeric/geometric expression of proportion in both. But that's just a common sense observation that only attempts to scratch the surface. We need to get to the core of both in order to have any chance to find anything meaningful about the math-music relationship.
